Joah and Daniel

Joah is really a good big brother. He gave Daniel his pacifier when it popped out. He watches over Daniel with great interest. I am surprised how he wants to hold Daniel and help with him. Sometimes Joah doesn't hardly pay him much attention, but a lot of the time he seems to really be interested in Daniel. It is so cute.

Building the Fence

Dad had a "fun" weekend working on our fence. Unfortunately the power post hole digger did not work well in our wonderful clay soil, so he had to dig each fence post hole by hand. The boys were quite helpful with making sure all the tools were in just the right places. He still needs to attach the wire screen and hang one more gate. The fence will make life a lot easier here to keep the dog and kids corralled in the backyard.

Margo & Joah

Lisa, Frances & Margo Visit Us

My best friend, Lisa, came over the other day to meet Daniel. Her daughters, Frances and Margo, also visited and enjoyed seeing Daniel. Sam was a hit with the girls and they had fun playing outside since the weather was so nice. Margo and Joah were two peas in a pod...both feisty & stubborn. I wonder where they get that? You can imagine how well they got along. By the end of the visit they were friends and giving each other kisses.

Ooops!

I thought I would be economical and safe and disinfect the kids toothbrushes. Sam had strep throat and instead of buying all new toothbrushes, the plan was to boil them in water to kill all the germs. Well...that did not go so great. I got a little distracted and totally forgot about the boiling pot of water and look what happened. All the water boiled away and the toothbrushes melted to the pan. Now I need to replace the toothbrushes AND the pot. Sam was quite upset that I ruined his new toothbrush that he got from school. He cried to Grandma about it and guess what? Shopping trip to Target for new toothbrushes...and a bunch of snacks and toys they don't need. Not one of Cooker Mom's finest moments!

I'm Still the Baby!

Joah wants to sleep in Daniel's baby seat all the time now. Ever since we brought Daniel home and have been using it for the baby to nap in, Joah has taken a new found interest in it. He doesn't exactly fit too well, but he manages to curl up in it somehow.
