Sam's school has a big Halloween parade every year. All the kids get dressed up and walk through Walbridge in their costumes. Sam and Caleb walked the whole way, but Joah was too tired. Dad ended up having to carry him and by the end he was sleeping. The weather was very nice and it went really well. The police shut down the roads in Walbridge and we had a police car lead the parade.

At The Park

The afternoon was so nice for the end of October we decided to fit in a trip to the park. We really like Woodland Park in Perrysburg because it is only six minutes away, it has a gated kiddie playground AND a big kid playground, and there is a nice walking trail around the perimeter. Joah had a blast keeping up with the big brothers, Sam and Caleb. He wants to do everything they do. I caved in and ended up letting Joah play on the big kid playground for a while. I had to climb on it myself and follow him everywhere since there are lots of places he could fall through. Of course, no trip to the park is complete without a Star Wars battle re-enactment, courtesy of Master Jedi Sami-won-kenobi and Jedi Calebikan Skywalker. We walked about half a mile on the walking trail until Joah decided it was time to carry him. We cut our walk short and headed to the van at that point. It was a picture perfect time.

Ollie's Boo-Boo

Poor Ollie has a hurt foot. We think he fell off the back steps and injured his paw. A few days ago he started limping and then he was not even putting any weight on the whole leg. It got very swollen and was bleeding. We took him to the vet and they shaved his hair and cleaned out the wound. He has to take antibiotics and he has some pain medicine for a few days. He has to wear a plastic baggie on his foot when he goes outside. We are supposed to carry him up and down the steps so he doesn't aggravate his injury. He goes back to the vet on Tuesday for a check-up. They also want to do surgery on his foot because there is another problem there. He has some kind of growth that is leaking fluid and there is a hard mass inside the growth. The vet was squeezing the growth and all this stuff squirted out right in his face. It was so gross. They also want to clean his teeth during surgery and remove the tarter build up.
